  • What is CEREC and how does it work?

Single-Visit Treatment with CEREC Same-Day Crowns

We use a local anesthetic to numb the tooth and surrounding area for the procedure, then use specialized tools to clean the area, remove any decayed material, and rid the tooth of bacteria.

We will then carefully reshape the tooth to accommodate a dental crown. After reshaping the tooth, we take an impression of the tooth to use when making your permanent crown. Most of the time, permanent crowns can be made with CEREC same-day crowns technology the same visit as the tooth is reshaped!

We will make final adjustments to the shape and position of the crown, then set it into place using specialized dental cement. Once in place, your new crown will blend in perfectly with your natural teeth!

Dental Bridges Replace Missing Teeth

An entire tooth in need of replacement or one that is already missing can benefit from the support and aesthetics of a dental bridge. There are three main types of dental bridges: fixed, Maryland, and cantilever. Fixed bridges are the most common and rely on the health of adjacent teeth to remain in place. Maryland bridges use tooth-colored bands to support replacement teeth, primarily when front teeth are missing. Cantilever bridges are comprised of two adjacent crowns, with the replacement tooth connected on one end. Dental bridges can be used to replace missing teeth, fix bite problems, and protect the health of surrounding teeth, making them an effective treatment for many patients!
